The Walloon government expects that 55.000 businesses will be able to receive the premium.

The one-time premium amounts to 5.000 EUR and is exempt from taxes. The premium can be claimed for each company/business located in Wallonia.

How?

The government has created a platform on which the allowances can be requested. The new platform is accessible on following link.

The government plans on paying the allowances mid-April.

2) Compensation Premium

The Walloon government provides for a one-time compensation premium of 2.500 EUR for independents and businesses that have had a substantial interruption in their activities in March and April 2020. In order to request for the compensation premium, the entrepreneur must have been granted a full bridging right for both March and April 2020 and did not request a Walloon disruption premium.

Only small or micro businesses can request the compensation premium and the majority of their employees were temporarily unemployed in March or April 2020 due the COVID-19 crisis. The business cannot distribute dividends in 2020.

The compensation premium can be requested as of Monday 27 April via (https://indemnitecovid.wallonie.be/#/).
