In Belgium, as in many countries, COVID-19 has a major impact on various sectors and companies. Many companies were forced to close down and even more companies were confronted with a sharp decline in their activities and turnover.

But finally there is light at the end of the corona tunnel. Since May 4, the government's exit phase has started with the possibility for companies to restart their businesses, subject to certain conditions such as social distancing. In this way, the long road to recovery can be started.

During this webinar, we wish to explain what labour legal tools are available to allow personnel to (partially) restart working, with the main focus on managing the personnel costs.

Among other things, we explain the rules related to temporary unemployment before and after May 31, the further organisation of the work via teleworking, and other measures to reduce personnel costs with or without impact on the employee's salary.

Finally, we will also devote part of the seminar to further measures to reduce personnel costs, but first and foremost the focus will remain on avoiding redundancies.

We will discuss, the posting of personnel or secondment within the same group and to third parties, systems of career interruption and time credit, as well as individual and collective redundancies.

Register here in the language of your choice before May 15, 2020. After closing the registration you will receive on May 18, 2020 a confirmation email with a link in order to follow the webinar.

As always, the sessions will be available separately 'on demand' afterwards.
